Zirconium characteristics



Zirconium is a lustrous, greyish-white, soft, adaptable and adaptable metal which is solid at allowance temperature, admitting it becomes harder and breakable at lower purities.

In crumb form, zirconium is awful flammable, but the solid anatomy is far beneath decumbent to ignition. Zirconium is awful aggressive to bane by alkalis, acids, alkali baptize and added agents.

However, it will deliquesce in hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, abnormally if fluorine is present.Alloys with zinc become alluring beneath 35 K.
